1. Who We Are

Team Asha Randonneuring is a volunteer cycling team that raises funds for the education of underprivileged children in India through Asha for Education. This website helps our riders plan rides, track progress, and coordinate as a team.

2. Information We Collect

Account & Profile: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We store these to identify your account.

Strava Data: If you connect your Strava account, we access your public profile and activity data (ride routes, times, distances, power, heart rate). We use this to display ride analysis and track brevet completions. We do not post to your Strava account or modify your data.

Ride Plan Data: Information you enter about ride plans, stops, and schedules is stored to power the planning and analysis features.

Usage Data: We use standard server logs and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, including pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source. Google Analytics may collect identifiers and set analytics cookies; we do not use this information for advertising.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Display your rider profile, ride history, and brevet completions to the team
  • Provide ride planning tools, weather forecasts, and post-ride analysis
  • Show team leaderboards and season statistics
  • Send ride-related notifications (if enabled)

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only visible to:

  • Other team members: Your name, ride history, and season stats are visible to signed-in team members
  • Service providers: We use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Strava (activity data), and Google Analytics (aggregate usage analytics) to operate and improve the site. These providers process data under their own privacy policies

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and ride data for as long as your account is active. Strava activity data is synced for the most recent 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and Google Analytics cookies to measure aggregate site usage. We do not use advertising cookies or sell analytics data.

  • Disconnect your Strava account at any time through Strava's settings
  • Request a copy of your data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Contact us with any privacy concerns

We use HTTPS encryption for all traffic, secure session management, and follow industry-standard practices to protect your data. Database access is restricted and credentials are stored securely as environment variables.
